So... 2020... to say it was an unusual year would be a grievous understatement.

Resident Evil 3 20th anniversary
Today is the 20th anniversary of the European release of Resident Evil 3!
Resident evil 3 is still my favourite game in the classic franchise, it perfected everything about the gameplay mechanics of the previous two titles. It’s simple story of survival in the zombie infested Racoon city was the perfect backdrop for the ever present and persistent threat of the Nemesis, who made this (in my humble opinion) the most scary and nerve racking game of the Franchise, Jill Valentines desperate cat and mouse chase created a sense of dread that has never really been surpassed in the series.
Having on the whole quite enjoyed Resident Evil 2’s reimagining/remake I’m even more excited to see Jill ’s struggle with the Nemesis recreated in the RE Engine this April.
I’ve been tinkering with this poster on and off for the last 6 months, completely tablet drawn, it’s a new way of working that feels like a bit of a departure from the more loose cartoony way I draw with pen and ink.

Resident Evil 2
This year was not only the 20th anniversary of the release of Resident Evil 2 but also the 20th anniversary
of all the momentous events that preceded and followed Claire and Leon’s fateful meeting in Racoon City.
1998 is a big year in the Resident Evil timeline.
A
masterful
quintet
of
atmospheric campy
horror games beginning with the STARS doomed investigation of the Arklay
mountains, followed by Claire’s desperate escape and Jill Valentines
epic struggle against the Nemesis, finally ending with the destruction
of Racoon City and the fall of Umbrella’s monstrous Ashford Twins.

Racoon City
At
the dawning of the October 1st 1998, the zombie infested Racoon City
was 'sterilised' by the US government with a suspected nuclear warhead.
Only a handful of people managed to escape the city alive before it was immolated.
